A CLI-Tool for uploading (encrypted) backups to AWS-Glacier
- First you need a AWS user for programmatic access. How it goes you can find here: Creating an IAM User in Your AWS Account. 0. The user needs full glacier rights. Just gave him the role AmazonGlacierFullAccess.
- Create a vault. How it goes see: Create a Vault in Amazon Glacier
- You have to create your AWS config files like described here: Configuration and Credential Files
- Download the binary of backup2glacier or [build on your own](#Development setup)

I want to use AWS Glacier for my backups. But i dont want to upload it uncompressed an plain. The other thing: i needed a place to put some meta information for my glacier archives (such like the archive-id, description and the CONTENT). So i decide to implement this tool to make it easier to use it for backups.
