Overview

Description

Unibeat is an app that allows users to pick a music genre and explore new songs. They can swipe left or right based on whether or not they like a song. Their liked songs are added to a playlist which they can listen to on their Spotify. People with similar music taste can connect with one another.

App Evaluation

  • Category: Social Networking / Music
  • Mobile: This app is particularly focused on being developed for Android mobile devices. However it can be expanded to other platforms with later iterations.
  • Story: Allows users to explore different music genres which they can add to a playlist. Other people can view yoour liked songs on your profile.
  • Market: This application is suitable for any individual who wants to explore new music genres and meet new people.
  • Habit: Users can use the app as often as they want depending on how any genres they want to explore and how many people they wish to connect to.
  • Scope: It would start as a simple application connected with Spotify, but it can later be extended to other applications like SoundCloud, as well as expand on users music choices and their ability to communicate with people.

Spotify API: Song Finder

  • (Read/GET) Query songs from a specific genre.
