Our first task is to get the firmware, tests and testbed up to the state where we can reliably pass the Wi-Fi Alliance tests on the Wi-Fi alliance specified testbed with the firmware.

This is done for wired backhaul only in M1. This milestone instead focuses on the wireless backhaul.

Tasks that fall under this milestone include:

  • Changes in the firmware to support the parts of the feature tested by the Wi-Fi alliance tests
  • Creating basic tests for the features
  • Getting the testbed up to specification
  • Connecting the testbed to a CI server and running our tests automatically using CI with the testbed
  • Running the official tests with our firmware (and making sure they pass)
  • Only the most essential of refactoring tasks needed to support the above points
