This mostly just renames the file, since most of it was already valid markdown. Additionally, the version number headings are converted proper markdown headers and in some places backticks are added for preformatted text (but only where things like underscores or asterisks could otherwise mess up the formatting). Finally, some minor inconsistencies are fixed.
This fixes projecthamster#588.

This PR prepares the tree for releasing 3.0.2.
I have also prepared a Github release at https://github.com/projecthamster/hamster/releases/tag/untagged-2bddf81f5958c6731369. Once this PR is merged, publishing that release will create the tag and finalize the release.
See #608 for some more considerations about preparing this release.
