Describe the bug:

When osu is minimized, even though it's not doing anything, it consumes a lot of CPU time (about 60% of one core). I use it on a laptop and this affects battery life pretty hard.

Uses 0-1% here (windows / macOS). What operating system are you on? It's likely related to that.

I use GNU/Linux.

It's likely related to that. May be fixed after we switch to SDL. Going to transfer to framework.

It's still an issue. There have been no changes to fix it and we have reproduced.

I think the linux specific usage should be fixed (I can't reproduce on macOS). It does seem to be windows specific as far as I can tell? (investigating at ppy/osu#30192)

What would've changed linux/macOS specifically? I believe the only issue there is that #6392 hasn't been merged yet, but once it is it'll likely experience the same.

Not too sure, this was open since before SDL 😅
