Open Society built the DroidWatch app as an Open Source app. This SERVICE is provided by Open Society at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible at DroidWatch unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Your privacy is important to us, that's why we don't share any of the users information with third party organisations or companies. The user data, location and other device metrics is used only to improve the functionality of the app. We don't store your data on any server or don't send it to third party servers.

Usage of every data and device metrics is described below.

Contacts - We retrieve contacts from users device in order to send via Bluetooth the number and name of the caller to the droid watch in order to display the same on the watch's screen.

SMS - We retrieve message body and name of the sender to send the same to the droid watch via Bluetooth so that the message can be seen on the watch screen and body can be read by the user without opening the android phone.

Phone - The usage of phone related details such as who is calling, when user called and ended is called is primary to the app because the watch's primary functionality is to display to notification about the currently coming call to user and display the call details on the watch screen.

Location - The location of the user is retrieved based on the network in order to improve the connectivity of the app with the droid watch over Bluetooth and finding Bluetooth devices, this is as per google developers docs mentioned here.

Device ID and call information - This is required to send the call backs to the watch that is when a phone call comes, the droid watch app sends the data to the watch and the user got to know that a call is coming to his phone.

Bluetooth and Network Access - This is required for the establishing connection via Bluetooth to the Bluetooth module of the Arduino Watch. Network Access is required to display the Ads from the Google Admob.

These user data and metrics is limited to the functionality to the app without these the user won't be able to use the app. In order to use the app the user has already given us the consent via app's inbuilt dialog to use these data and device metrics.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We encourage all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to us through the Application and/or Services, please contact us. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf).
