Randomizer League

The by far biggest addition in this release is the Ori and the Will of the Wisps Randomizer League. The Randomizer League allows everyone to participate in ranked, periodical games. These games are organized in seasons of variable length which all are invited to join.

Thanks to Romulus and CovertMuffin, which figured out major parts of the Randomizer League rules and mechanics for Ori and the Blind Forest that we could build upon.

New Features and Changes

  • Entering and exiting Water/Sand with Water Dash/Burrow is now affected by Skill Velocity
  • You can now teleport in the Marsh Burrow Fight and the Hornbug arena
  • The Meeting Kwolok cutscene cannot be triggered from underwater anymore
  • It's no longer possible to softlock when swimming next to the Spirit Light pickup below the start of the Kwolok Boss escape
  • Teleporting twice in quick succession does not let Ori fall out of bounds anymore. The according path in Unsafe difficulty has been removed for now.
  • Seeds and Multiverses (online games) are now tied to save files. You don't need to worry about you having loaded the correct seed when playing anymore.
  • You can now customize features for Web Trackers. (Three Dots > Create Web Tracker)
  • Added a "My Games" tab where you can see your recently joined games
  • Some keybinds have changed:
    • Alt+L: does not exist anymore
    • Alt+R: reconnects to the server in online games
    • Alt+F: lists seed flags
    • Alt+F5: reloads the seed file (only for offline seeds)
  • In-Logic and Spoiler maps are now separated
  • Enabling Race Mode in online games now enforces the game difficulty
  • QTMs are not sped up anymore
  • Shop Anywhere is not possible anymore

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed No Combat not saving after completing the Shriek escape
  • Fixed the game not being focused when launching with the game already running
  • The updater now automatically retries and shouldn't ask for a manual retry anymore
  • Fixed a bug that caused the launcher to redirect you to the Home Page after logging in
  • Fixed the "Reset Local Tracker Position" button in settings
  • [4.0.1] Fixed a bug that caused a 404 error after logging in
