Poverty Probability Index

The PPI is basically a poverty measurement tool. A PPI Survey consists of 10 questions about a household’s characteristics and asset ownership that are scored to compute the likelihood that the household is living below the poverty line.

An example of a PPI Survey can be found here. This PPI was created in May 2016 using India’s 2011/12 Socio-Economic Survey. Below is a sample of the questions present in a PPI Survey Card.
