Chromium version 52.0.2743.0 that still supports docked panels. Required for old-hangouts-chrome-extension

Why we have to do this?

The Chrome team has confirmed that starting from Chrome version 54 and above pannels will not be supported. Pannels support is the feature in charge of docking floating windows in hangouts and other popular extensions as Panel Tabs or Plus for Trello.

Instructions

• Download this repository (or clone it)
• Unzip the repository.
• Install Chromium depending on your Operating System as you would normally do with any other program. (Note that we will upload Linux soon)
• Install the old-hangouts-chrome-extension on Chromium. (Instructions here)

Important notes

• Chromium and Chrome will be running at the same time.
• Keep using and updating Chrome as normal (except for the old hangouts extension).
• Don't use Chromium for anything besides hangouts.

Should you just turn off auto updates for Chrome?

Although it might seem as the easiest idea we do not recommend it, as updates usually comes with important new features and bug fixes.
