How to auto close an unwanted tab

There are a few ways you can blacklist tabs so they are auto closed.

Blacklist a URL from the extension shortcut

This is the simplest way to configure a url to auto close. Simply click on the extension icon while on the site you'd like to blacklist and select the Blacklist current site option

extension quick access menu

The extension will then ask you to confirm the url that will be blacklisted

Now any time that website is opened in a tab that tab will get auto closed!

Blacklist a URL or Page Title from the options page

You can visit the options page of the extension by clicking Options in the extension shortcut

Start by clicking on the bottom-most row in the table where it says click to add

Then type in the text you'd like to match against a url, title, or both and hit Enter. Your new setting is now saved. image

By default, new configs match by url only. So in the above example only tabs that have facebook.com in their url will be auto closed. To match by title instead (or both) you can click on the gear icon under the Settings column.

You can confirm whether a search pattern matches by url, title, or both by hovering your cursor over it and looking at the icons that appear next to the search pattern.
