himbeer-gpio-service is a webservice for configuring and accessing the gpio ports of a raspberry pi.

it was developed for the rails service himbeer-rails which’s source can be found here github.com/psunix/himbeer-rails

Installation¶ ↑

reqirements: raspbian, ruby 1.9, bundler

git clone https://github.com/psunix/himbeer-gpio-service /opt/himbeer-gpio-service
cd /opt/himbeer-gpio-service
bundle

now adjust config.yaml to your needs

# service
listen_ip: 0.0.0.0
listen_port: 88331

# gpio ports
gpio:
  0: OUTPUT
  1: PWM_OUTPUT

listen_ip: ip address which the service should listen on listen_port: according port

gpio: port configuration, OUTPUT or PWM_OUTPUT (pin 1 only)

copy init.d script to /etc/init.d

cp bin/himbeer-gpio-service.init.d /etc/init.d/himbeer-gpio-service
chmod +x /etc/init.d/himbeer-gpio-service
update-rc.d himbeer-gpio-service defaults

now you’re ready to start the service

service himbeer-gpio-service start
