Thanks so much for your contribution, @yorek! We are working on how to best support current and future contributions to this repo. As this poses a delay in accepting some new definitions, we want to emphasize we really appreciate your work, and we're working on how to best support community contributions in a scalable way moving forward. There are additional details in this issue: #1291. |
Any update on this? |
Thanks for checking @yorek! We're still actively working toward the best distribution and discovery model. Some of our latest thinking is in this issue, and the distribution model for dev container Features was recently merged as a proposal in the specification here (with this issue for gathering feedback on the proposed model). We'll continue discussing how to handle this for templates. Please let me know if you have any questions, and please feel free to review and comment on the issues above! |
Thanks for the update. In the meanwhile discussion goes on, I think it would be helpful for developers to have the PHP container ready to be used with MSSQL. :) |
Thanks again for opening! As I mentioned, our team has been actively focused on an updated plan, and we've now outlined the latest in this issue: #1589. This includes moving to a couple new repos for images (https://github.com/devcontainers/images) and Features (https://github.com/devcontainers/features). We anticipate to have a similar repo and distribution process for templates/definitions. We'll keep everyone updated (likely via another issue in this repo or comment on #1589) when our new templates repo is available and the process is defined. Please let me know if you have any questions, thank you! |
