Description:      Roadmap release

This is the first stand-alone release of MEPA library.
MEPA-only customers can now utilize the MEPA library code available here and integrate it with their applications. This repository contains the latest MEPA code that is tested with MESA 2024.06 version. Generally, all MEPA releases are tested with the previous version of MESA. Customers who wish to use both MESA and MEPA together in their applications can integrate the latest MEPA code with the latest MESA version at their discretion however, this is not recommended. We have included sample applications to demonstrate some of the features of the PHYs supported in MEPA. Please note that these sample applications are designed to work exclusively on Microchip's PHY Evaluation Platform.

New MEPA APIs: NIL

New chip specific APIs:

  • lan8814_downshift_conf_set()

Introduced new PHY specific API lan8814_downshift_conf_set to configure Downshift in LAN8814.

  • lan8814_rep_count_set()

Introduced new PHY specific API lan8814_rep_count_set() which offers flexibility in determining how frequently the application polls a port.
