Motivation

Learning by doing

The idea behind the project is to help the community learn about Python, open source communities, API's, designing GUI's and Git through practical work on a project which in the end might even be useful to some people. The best way to learn is to do. Which is why I started this project in the first place. I wanted to learn Python, and make something useful in the meanwhile. The purpose of this application surely already exists somewhere on the internet, but the goal here is to get the community involved into working together and learning.

The motivation purely comes from gaining experience and knowledge through collaboration with others in the community. If the contributors find interest and have enough ideas, this project could keep on evolving for years to come, growing together with it's contributors and users.
