This park-and-recreation-finder repro is still open for contribution and development however, this is not the version delivered to the ArcGIS for Local Government user community for 10.2. That source code for the Parks Finder application delivered at 10.2 is in the configurable-place-finder repro configurable-place-finder application.
The Park and Recreation Finder application is a configuration of ArcGIS for Server and a JavaScript application that allows citizens to locate park and recreation opportunities in their community. This application is typically used by citizens to locate a park in their community that offers a recreation activity they are interested in, but can also be used by visitors to locate a park in a community they are visiting.
Try the Park Finder application
- Search for a park by name, by current location, by address, or by activity
- Review recreation activities at a given park and get directions to a park
- Share park information using social media
Esri's sample services can be used with this repository to extend the application.
