Releases: kent-rasmussen/azt
Nov 2022
Turned back on git integration, which should now be working correctly (including not bothering you too much, if you really don't want to backup your data to a USB stick on a daily basis).
Once A→Z+T knows about your USB drive, just make sure it's plugged in and visible before you start or stop A→Z+T, and A→Z+T will keep it up to date with your computer. You can also copy to and from USB, as needed.
This is more fully described at https://github.com/kent-rasmussen/azt/blob/dev/docs/COLLABORATION_AND_BACKUP.md
Perhaps not previously announced, you can also switch fairly seemlessly between testing and main branches, through the help menu.
October 2022
This release brings significant improvements in Git integration, as well as in the creation of reports.
Sept 2022 Postworkshop
This release has significant improvement in collaboration and updating. With a local flash drive with git repositories, users can share data and update A→Z+T source from within A→Z+T (under Help).
Settings file formatting has also been changed to make it more reasable, both by humans and by git
Aug 2022 preworkshop
This is hopefully the last release before 1.0
Consonant and vowel sorting is done, as are changes to Consonants and vowels, both in forms and annotations.
What is unclear is how those changes are taken up in searching for forms, in sorting, further renaming, and reports.
There are some occasional inconsistencies when changes are made serially, with some changes not being evident to the user until a syllable profile analysis. This is most evident when developing new digraphs/trigraphs, so A→Z+T now automatically redoes the syllable profile analysis in this case. If anything appears unexpected after a series of "one glyph > one glyph" changes in consonants or vowels, a syllable profile reanalysis may help.
If you try this version out and have any problems, please let me know right away (with the appropriate logs), and I'll take a look.
Feb 2022
This release includes a number of small fixes, but mostly backgrounded writing to LIFT. This should provide significant performance improvements, especially on slower computers (assuming there is more than one CPU, as on most computers).
January 2022
This release contains massive changes, both in the user interface and in the organization under the hood.
See Tasks for more information on the organization into tasks, including the new Add Words task.
November 2021 video edition
This is mostly to put these videos out. There are a few changes to the main source at this point, including dealing with the verification node that worked, but was causing some error messages.
November 2021
This release contains a number of significant infrastructural changes to the way A→Z+T retrieves and displays data, as well as a number of smaller fixes requested by users, and significant changes to the treatment of segments (including more principled treatment of digraphs and trigraphs, which you will now specify for your own database).
I think this is the first version with Praat integration, and perhaps the first one with transcription window, both of which seem to be working well.
September 2021 - Video of Transcription Process
Several UI changes, mostly wanting to test video for transcription
August 2021
This release has a number of small (but important to some) fixes and changes over 0.8.3, which I apparently never published. :-|
Anyway, A→Z+T now scales fonts and images for smaller resolution screens (in case windows went off your screen before, that shouldn't happen anymore), and the sound should be working better (at least for some). The tone group transcription window is now working much better (I'm looking forward to using it a lot myself this week!)
