This is a maintenance release with the following changes:

  • If available, use time.monotonic instead of time.time.
  • Dropped support for RHEL 7 and 8. RPM packages for these distros are nolonger included. Added support for RHEL9 instead.
  • On RHEL9-based distros, Python 3.12 is required.
  • Updated Windows dependencies to their latest versions: Pyinstaller, Pywin32, Python 3.13, OpenSSL and several C runtimes.

This is the last version compatible with Python 2.7. Planned changes for future releases involve importing external modules only compatible with Python 3.
