LockdIn aims to enhance the productivity of Monash University students by eliminating distractions and prioritizing academic content in the Chrome browser.
LockdIn functions as a Chrome Extension, serving as a new tab override that presents a dedicated landing page each time you open a new tab. LockdIn provides a Monash Universtiy student with every tool they could need to ensure a productive study session, including links to your units, a pomodoro timer, todo list, Monash essential links, and even the weather. It also blurs your YouTube thumbnails, to prevent you from getting distracted while watching a tutorial or other educational video.
To use LockdIn, follow these steps:
- Clone the repository to your local machine.
- Open Google Chrome.
- Navigate to
chrome://extensions/. - Enable Developer mode.
- Click "Load unpacked" and select the cloned LockdIn repository folder.
Now, every time you open a new tab, LockdIn will take charge, providing a distraction-free landing page designed to help you concentrate on your academic tasks.
