this smells like a production bug - but I have not changed any code here and this is just makeing the test work reliably regardless of if the test is showing that the code is broken or not (given that there has been no report of this issue etc..)

the plugin was bundling many libraries unnecessarily.
this modernizes the plugin build and excludes the remaining few that where still being bundled that come from core
