Veel organisaties gebruiken een bepaalde projectmanagementmethodiek als ze projecten uitvoeren. Zo'n methodiek beschrijft wat er in welke fase moet gebeuren en aan welke dingen gedacht moet worden. Een veelgebruikte **projectmethodiek** is Prince2, maar we zien er later nog veel meer.
