for use in game - 'Roleplaying' tools
Below is a list of commonly requested features or changes the developers can’t or won’t include in Anamnesis, or features that are planned for the future but not actively being worked on at this time.
Whilst the developers are not prepared to work on anything on this page (unless otherwise stated below), they do advise that this is an open-source project, and that people are invited to contribute features of their own, as no reasonable pull request will be rejected.
Please note: Anamnesis is not Concept Matrix, and Concept Matrix is not Anamnesis. The two tools are, at a fundamental level, too different to copy over solutions. Additionally, Anamnesis is primarily developed by three people; the developers have limited free time, and are making this tool for free in that free time.
Won't do - The developers have no plans for this feature as it doesn’t really fall within the scope of a ‘screenshot tool’. Additionally, doing anything that survives loading screens is dangerous since memory gets weird while loading. Again, just because it was theoretically possible in one tool does not automatically mean it will be possible in another. Please take into consideration the fact that gear and appearance changes being carried across loading screens in Concept Matrix is actually a bug, not a feature. There are far better tools to achieve this.

Won't do - This is a hard no, as the developers will not make tools that can be used to exploit the game, and delimited cameras have been used for Field of View/Zoom hacks in PvP and other content. The developers will not facilitate unfair gameplay advantages.
Won't do - Anamnesis is designed as a screenshot-taking tool. Voices and audio are not critical to this.
Won't do - This feature is only useful in a couple of incredibly niche cases, and more often than not completely breaks.
Won't do - This feature is only useful in a couple of incredibly niche cases.
Won't do - While this is possible, it both falls outside the scope of the tool, and presents a potential for abuse and/or detection, which the developers are not prepared to facilitate. Should this be revisited in future, it would be given an incredibly low priority, as it would require a great deal of maintenance to ensure the pool of 'legal' options remains up to date.
❗️ Note: This is a feature that the developers would be prepared to implement should someone want to champion it. Please do not hesitate to contact a member of the development team should you wish to discuss this further.
Won’t do - Most features requested for the purposes of enhancing roleplay would require Anamnesis to remain running for extended periods of time, which it is not designed to do. As with having gear and appearance changes remain during loading screens, keeping too many changes in memory can have negative impacts on the performance of both the tool and the game. Features like this would be better suited as injected services like Dalamud plugins, which interact with the game on a deeper level. An example of this is Customize+, a Dalamud plugin created by the developers of Anamnesis.
