While I have massive respect for the job that they do, I realized that I did not share the same values as most in that field. Five years ago, I decided to pursue my longtime hobby of web development as a proper career and now here I am. Mental health has been an issue close to my heart. I've had family and friends struggle with mental health–some who are no longer with us today. While we've come a long way in recent years battling the stigma (and sadly, even having to prove the existence of mental illness), we still have a long ways to go. The if-me platform excites me because it combines a great premise with things that I'm passionate about and I feel that I can contribute to. Proud contributor since Hacktoberfest 2018.",
