Maybe I should be in that list, but I got the notification, anyway.

This is an innocent enough change, I think I can merge these sorts of things. I'll do it now.

Yeah, I was just looking at the https://github.com/hsf-training/maintenance repository, where there is an add-common-files directory with this template. I don't know however how this then gets updated for existing repositories since @klieret set that up for use with cookiecutter.

Hi @wdconinc @jpivarski . Yes, I wanted to update the list of people pinged (or remove the pings? -- it's been so many that everyone just started to ignore them which doesn't really help).

As this is unfortunately controlled by a file in every repository, I added some scripts for mass-updates in the maintenance repo that @wdconinc just mentioned. It also has some instructions for mass-accepting dependabot/pre-commit PRs.

If you tell me who to add in the pings (if anyone), I'll update the settings with stalebot.

I usually check(ed) the stale reminders quickly to see if there is low hanging fruit (except for cpp since that's managed), so I think it's kinda useful. But up to the current conveners to decide, of course.
