What's Changed

Lots of changes have been made since April. We created a WYSIWYG editor using Quill.js; we targeted translating subtitles alongside longer texts such as Bible translations, and we have taken extensions that we previously removed (Project Manager, Copilot Chat and Comments) and built them back into this mono-extension.

If you had a project from beforehand, the project manager overview (the tool icon on the left or top left) should show you version mismatches. We have tried to auto-port old projects, but cannot guarantee this will work at this point.

We are getting close to a 1.0.0 release, at which point we will consider all previous project potentially incompatible. We're happy to help you port your old project! Just reach out to us by opening an issue if you have problems of this sort.

See releases of the Codex app at that repo.

User-friendly binary downloads are available at codexeditor.app.

Currently this extension seems highly compatible with Eclipse Theia, though we hope to ensure full compatibility going forward.

The published extension is on the Open-VSX marketplace (not on the VS Code marketplace currently because it takes over your VS Code workspace pretty significantly).

More exciting progress coming soon!
