UPDATE [March 23, 18]: This installer may display the message REST request failed: error getting server certificate. while trying to download the Exercism CLI for Windows. This is known to occur for users of Windows prior to version 10. If Windows does not default to using TLS 1.1/1.2 then this installer will fail to get the server certificate. Versions of Windows, prior to 10, default to using TLS 1.0/1.1. In February of 2018 GitHub dropped support for TLS 1.0/1.1. Please refer to these instructions from Microsoft to update your installation of Windows to default to TLS 1.1/1.2, follow the Easy Fix instructions, there is a small app you may download that will make the appropriate registry changes for you.

If you opt not to update Windows then please refer to the instructions for installing the CLI manually. Refer to #33 for more background information regarding this issue.

Bug fixes relating to access privileges not permitting access to folders or files. This app will now sense blocked access and inform the user instead of leaving the user wondering what to do.

Browse for folder location dialog replaced with nicer, more Windows 10 friendly, version.

note: v1.4.1 refers to the version number of THIS installer. The installer will install the latest version of the Exercism CLI for Windows. DO NOT confuse this version number for the version of the CLI.
