This upgrade causes an OOM error when building Vite 🤔
It could probably be fixed by changing the Node memory settings through NODE_OPTIONS, but I don't want to do that. According to this issue, a lot of people claim that the Vite OOM errors could be fixed by better chunking/bundling/dynamic imports, which is on the roadmap for this quarter.
I also found that changing the vite.config.js to say:
manualChunks: (id) => {
if (id.includes("node_modules")) {
return "vendor";
}
},
solved the issue (patch). This solution comes from the GitHub issue mentioned above.
For now, I'll just close this PR as I would want to see if better bundling fixes this problem.
