EUCALL FUNDING Acknowledgement

PUBLICATIONS

All publications from EUCALL have to correctly acknowledge the EUCALL funding – if your publication doesn’t do this correctly, you may not use the publication as a proof of EUCALL’s work/success. Therefore please take care of this in ALL publications you are involved in, even if you are not the first author!

If all authors are working under EUCALL: Add this to the “Acknowledgements” section:

“This work was funded as part of the European Cluster of Advanced Laser Light Sources (EUCALL) project which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 654220.”

If one or some authors are working under EUCALL: Add this to the “Acknowledgements” section:

“AB and CD acknowledge support from the European Cluster of Advanced Laser Light Sources (EUCALL) project which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 654220.“

(this is an example, add the relevant author's initials in place of "AB and CD")

If you are employed to work on EUCALL full time:

It is not allowed for you to be an author on non-EUCALL publications. If you are not sure about this, please ask Graham or Deike!

POSTERS + ORAL PRESENTATIONS

All dissemination material from EUCALL has to correctly acknowledge the EUCALL funding – the most simple way to do this is just to use the EUCALL poster and presentation templates found on the alfresco Document Library.

If you have to use your own institute’s poster/presentation templates, you have to include the EUCALL logo, the EU flag and the sentence:

“This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 654220.”

SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE

If you develop some software as part of EUCALL collaboration the correct funding acknowledgement has to occur as a comment in the code, as an imprint or in some meta-data:

“This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 654220.”

If you develop some hardware as part of EUCALL collaboration the correct funding acknowledgement has to occur on a label:

“This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 654220.”

You also have to attach the EU Logo and EUCALL logo to your hardware as a sticker. Please contact Graham or Deike about this.

OPEN ACCESS All publications from EUCALL have to be Open Access! European XFEL/DESY’s Library is taking care of this for us! Just upload your final accepted manuscript (but without formatting for the journal article).

FACE TO FACE MEETINGS

Any face-to-face meetings you organise within EUCALL needs to provide a Signature List of the participants - this is used to prove that your travel costs are necessary. The Signature List can be downloaded from the alfresco Document Repository.
