The XMC ZynQ US module is being developed for space applications where computing-intensive tasks are required. Main application is processing of hyperspectral data. The board has following features:
- XMC form factor with ZyNQ US+ ZU5 device
- all gigabit transceivers routed to XMC
- some LVDS lines routed to custom PMC to enable communication with main satellite computer
- the board is foreseen to be installed in 3U and 6U Space-VPX chassis with main computer
- 6U Space VPX chassis enables installation of SSD memory for storage
- data from the Imager are transfered using backplane and Gigabit serial lane (SpaceFibre data channel).
