You can set your favourite locations and commands at any time navigating in NetBeans in Tools -> Options -> Miscellaneous ->QuickOpener , this will open the following dialogue:

There two section in this dialogue, one for the locations and one for the commands.

There is no limit on the number of custom commands and favorites location you can set. These entries are stored between session using a file quickopener.properties stored in your netbeans settings folder, so yes, you can copy your settings to other NetBeans installations.

Locations

  • To add a favourite location you can just type a description (white spaces are allowed) in 7 and the path in 8, then simply click on the add button. A diaologue will appear to confir that your location has been added to the favourite and the entry will appear in the area beolow (13 in screenshot).
  • You can modify a command simply typing the same name in the description and clicking add.
  • Or delete it clicking on the button 10. The button 11 will delete (for good) all your favourite locations.

Custom Commands

  • To add a cdustom command you can just type a description (white spaces are allowed) in 1 and the comamnd in 2, then simply click on the add button. A diaologue will appear to confir that your command has been added to the favourite and the entry will appear in the area beolow (12 in screenshot). Notice that you can also add the command prefix (the plugin will detect which one is yours depending on the operating system) using the checkbox 3. Also follow the tips in gray to set the parameters.
  • You can modify a command simply typing the same name in the description and clicking add.
  • Or delete it clicking on the button 5. The button 6 will delete (for good) all your custom commands.
