Chat O Cord

A full stack chat application made with the power of React.js on frontend and the backend supported with Nest.js, it has real time chat support with WebSockets and audio video chat along with screen sharing with the help of the WebRTC api. And for more help we are using lots of open source free to use libraries to manage our workflow.

Main Agenda

Practically we are makign rather trying to make second Discord App or an app that works exactly like Discord, it will have all the features what discord have right now. We are working on the Doscord's server functionality where we have more than one text and voice channels to chat with people where people will nee dto have some kind of permissions to have access to those channels. Those permissions will be given the owner or the creator of the server or a person who have wnough permissions to give new permissions to new people.

• If you find the mockup interesting and wanna contribute then follow steps shown in below.

  First you have to fork this repository to your own profile

  • Step. 2

  Then you have to clone the forked repository to your development machine.
  

  git clone <forked-repository-link>

  • Step. 3

  Then paste these commands to your terminal
  

  cd Chat-O-Cord

  To change your current working directory to our application Now this step depends on where you wanna contribute, either on server or the client so you have to change your directory again depending on your choice
  

  • EITHER

  cd client

  • OR

  cd server

  • Step. 4

  npm install

  • Step. 5
    

  Start coding yourself and while you make some prgress with your code ypu can make us know directly by rasing a PR or mentioning other contributors or the owner in the discussions. If we see the changes useful then we will merge your code to the main repository and HENCE YOU SUCCESSFULLY MADE YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO ONE OPEN-SOURCE PROJECT ON GITHUB
