You *could* change it. But you shouldn't. Trust me, you don't need to.

It is possible to have "instant" sidechain txns, using special "setup" transactions that have already been confirmed. The lightning network is one example of this; a second example is [Double Spend Forfeits](https://x.com/Truthcoin/status/1701791091790352823?s=20) et al.
