Welcome to the RASPViewer wiki!

RASPViewer is derived from the work by the late Paul Scorer, still in production at https://rasp.stratus.org.uk/.

This viewer has been rewritten to use the Leaflet API to replace the Google Maps API (too costly for a popular site due to Google's changed business model for their Maps API).

Other improvements/additions/modifications are (in random order):

  • An Animation button to fast forward the Time parameter, resulting in 'animated' overlays
  • removed the Archive feature (hosted disk space is too expensive)
  • the XBL plot feature is implemented for the 1K model only, great plot for wave detection!
  • Airspace layer is now courtesy of https://www.openaip.net/
  • Added Dutch, Belgium and German waypoints, airports only (to avoid clutter)
  • Added stylesheets
  • Added Next and Previous Day buttons
  • Renamed from RASPtableGM to RASPViewer
  • Added https://stamen.com/work/maps-stamen-com/ "toner" and "terrain" overlays
  • Added a self hosted Open Street Map overlay
  • GUI improvements for mobile devices (side-barv2 added)
  • Added IGC viewer, see https://alistairmgreen.github.io/jsigc/
