As our Slack group keeps growing in size, the Slack group becomes really hard to navigate. Here are some important channels and how they can be used.
Slack Channel | Description |
---|---|
#general | This is our main channel for general announcements. You can use it to introduce yourself and say hi. Please avoid using offensive language, self-promoting content, ads, job listings, etc. |
#help | You can ask your general questions on this channel and someone will help you. |
#mentoring | This channel is for those looking to mentor or looking for someone to mentor them |
#meetings | All our team meeting notes are shared here. |
#contribute | If you want to contribute to any project and have questions about it, use this channel |
#meetups | Our meetups are announced here |
#research | This channel is used to discuss ongoing and future research |
#paper_reading | We discuss all things related to our weekly paper reading and discussion sessions |
Those are the essential ones. There are many more that are related to specific ongoing projects. Each project in our GitHub organization contains the name of the specific channel that we use to discuss that project.
