This may need some algorithm simplification and testing on my own end to see if it takes maximal advantage of the utility's API or if something can be made even better before I merge it.
The idea is to solve the problem of item and mask subscreen slots storing different numbers for the old version of the Japanese ROM than the newer, offsetted values in the new save format with the beta stuff removed.
