Hosting and joining
To host a game, press the Host
button on the main menu.
You can choose from CoopNet or Direct Connection for the network system. If you choose CoopNet, you will have a password field which you can leave empty to create a public lobby that will show up in Join -> Public Lobbies
. Otherwise, you will create a private lobby that can only be accessed by a Discord invite or the password. As for Direct Connection, you will have a port field that will tell the game what port to use when you host the game.
To join a game, press the Join
button on the main menu.
You have three choices for joining others. Public lobbies, private lobbies, and direct connection. Public and private lobbies are hosted CoopNet, which lets you host lobbies for others to join without needing to host the server directly from your network.
To invite someone on Discord, right click their name click Invite to Game.
You can invite channels of servers as well by clicking the +
button next to the place you enter chat.
Game Activity must be enabled in your Discord user settings.
Appearing offline will prevent invites from being sent.
For direct connections you will need to forward a port in your router or use Hamachi to connect to each other online.
