The Static Analysis Results Interchange Format (SARIF)
is an industry standard format for the output of static analysis tools.
Most linters are moving to support this format, so this will help with supporting more
Also Github is getting behind this format, so this is pushing a lot of linters to support it.
The immediate use case for this is kotlin Detekt
