Quick thoughts about size of space:

total size of long:18446744073709551615
total diameter (in km) of our solar system
287460000000
~287460000000
(287.46 billion km)
1 light year = 1 trillion km
if my 2d space game as a size of 18446744073709551615 x 18446744073709551615 1=1km
that is a lot of light years i can cover. 18,446,744
light years in my game
not use if i have nearly enough memory to simulate that much space
but w/e it's java
man that write up is so good, im posting it on my wiki

if, in my game, you travel at 1km/second, it will take 2 and a bit days to go from 1 side of the universe to the other
1km/second = 2237mph
speed of light in a vacuum ~300,000km/s
that is 61.5 seconds to travel from one side of the universe to the other

THIS IS ALL PROBABLY WRONG
