IntelliJ is a fine development environment for working on the Firrtl repo. This page is a good place to put tips and tricks associated with that.
There is a known problem where IntelliJ errors during compilation complaining about file like FIRRTLParser.java
So far the following hack seems to get around the problem.
- In the Project window right click on target/scala-2.11/src_managed/main
- Move the cursor way down the list to Mark Directory As, where a sub-menu pane pops out
- Select Unmark as Sources Root
This problem may re-occur whenever the sbt file is changed and the sbt settings are re-imported. The same fix above should clear it up
If you have a better solution to this problem please post it.
