Production Pipeline

The Basics

A production pipeline is the system most groups of animators, including all major animation studios, use to produce their films. This includes the work of many different departments, as well as the structural foundation of scripts and code connecting and integrating each of these elements into the whole.

This wiki will be a description of the Brigham Young University Center for Animation production pipeline. This wiki will be generated initially by the pipeline designed for the student film "Owned", currently scheduled to finish by year's end 2013. It will (eventually) discuss both the basic concepts of a pipeline, how they can be used, and how they are created. It will focus more specifically on the coding foundation previously mentioned.
