What is this repo for?

This repo contains python code designed to capture and efficiently store video data of bees (and other pollinators) using a Raspberry pi looking down at some patch of flowers. The video is (cheaply) compressed such that the moving bees are capture but everything else is generally blacked out, leading to much smaller file sizes.

What is this wiki for?

This wiki is intended to be a summary of everything I've tried so far. I.e. there will be a lot of "failures" recorded here. I may split this wiki up into two parts: one for how things currently work, and another for those past efforts.
