The dynamics of natural breathing can be modeled using electrical circuit diagrams. Pressure is voltage; air flow is current; and volume is charge. The lung is a capacitor (stores charge/volume); the airway is a resistor; and the diaphragm/inspiratory muscles are a pressure/voltage source.
