This adapter is designed to make the information and functions provided by Huawei solar inverters directly available in ioBroker via Modbus tcp. It was created using the information provided by Huawei Modbus Interface Definitions

Getting Started

If you are just starting, the connecting to the inverter must be established first.

The adapter can then be configured. If a connection to the inverter(s) is established, the adapter writes the register data in the object path sun2000.0.inverter. A summary of all data is provided in the path sun2000.0.collected. The basis for calculating the derived data points discribe by the diagram.

You certainly want to visualize your energy production and consumption. Get inspired with example visualizations.

Integrations

• modbus-proxy: Third party device such as wallbox, energy manager etc. can receive data even if the modbus interface of inverter is already in use. In addition you can mirror the sun2000 data to another IoBroker instance.
• Huawei SmartLogger: Monitors and manages the PV power system. The adapter saves the collected data in the same way as it does when read out the inverter directly.

Energy Control

Some countries have introduced regulations to restrict the sale of electricity to the grid. If you want to adjust the grid performance of your inverter, you can use the Export Control of this adapter.

If your installation contains a battery, you should be interested the following information:

• Battery charge control: The battery charging mode of Huawei LUNA2000 batteries can be controlled. Here you can activate and deactivate the battery charging mode to "charging from grid”. In addition, the charging capacity and charging power can be adjusted.
• Force charge discharge battery: Forced charge/discharge is usually used to test the battery connected to an inverter. Normally it is not recommended to perform forced charging/discharging.
