Notification settings cant be set (all inactive) even though notification widget is clearly there #251

i dont have a second monitor attached, just this laptop.

didnt update to latest Plasma yet, as this is my working laptop and i hate new bugs, so the question is:
is this bug known, has it been fixed in 5.24 or i better spare the whole update process on arch.

I'm not aware of this being tracked upstream.

"Notification service not available" being displayed on the widget seems suspicious. That means the notification server itself wasn't able to launch.

I don't know what could cause that though.

Does a reboot fix it? If so, there might be some race condition with the startup procedure somewhere.
