I/O

We strive to keep our data in open, accessible formats so that the information can be reused and modified by our other software components, or by external software such as Adobe After Effects or biotracking software from other organizations.

Input

  • Video file
    • Highest resolution and quality version of the video you want
    • accepts most file types playable by VLC
    • tested with Quicktime h.264 encoded .mov files

Output

  • PNG file
    • Highest resolution depends on quality of the video you you input

Usage

Select Video and Background Image

Make sure that they are the same size

Scrub to locate a Region of Interest (ROI)
Scrub video to find the frame that has an ROI that you are interested in.

Select a Background Subtraction Threshold

Select a Region of Interest

This is done by clicking on the screen to construct a bounding polygon. Right click to close the polygon.

Name the ROI
Confirm and name the ROI. The name you choose will become part of file name of model file.

Select Orientation
Click start and end point to select the orientation of your model

Select a Save Directory
This directory will be set as default directory for future saves.

Alternatively to change the save directory you can use the system menu.
