05. Group and Group Content Visibility

One of the strengths of Organic Groups is limiting access to group content to members of that group. Configuring this can be a bit confusing at first. Here are the key concepts to understand.

You must first enable this sub-module:Organic Groups Access Control

  • You will need to first create a content type called Group of type = Group
  • You will also need to create a content type called Group Content of type = Group Content

Then go to /admin/config/group/fields and create a Fields = Group Visibility on the Bundles = Group.

And a Fields = Group Content Visibility on Bundles = Group Content

Once these items are configured, you will be able to select who has access to each group or group content on each individual node.
