I am a software developer at Cloudera (Jan 2022 - present), working in the DataWarehouse team. I am a passionate programmer, who also likes to explore tech, solve challenges and make our product better and more user friendly.

In my free time i read boks, learn to play the piano and also like to cook meals. My hobbies are varied, which includes exploring podcasts, listening to music, watching good anime, and recently i also learned surfing🏄

What i do at work 🖥️

I am part of the Cloudera-Data-Warehouse (CDW) product. I work on code that can deploy Apache Hive, Impala and Trino warehouses on a customer's AWS Cloud account (as well as Azure and private cloud). We use a variety of AWS services to provide a high performing and secure platform for meeting customer's ETL query processing requirements.

Some of my major contributions till now -

Improving autoscaling on Hive virtual warehouses

Making IAM policies stricter for customer cloud security compliance

Introduced features in product as per customer requests

Owning, automating and improving a daily cleanup job for cleaning our AWS dev account and minimizing cloud costs

Code reviewer for changes in the code flow related AWS infrastructure provisioning
