Before powering on the CM.

Instructions for CM V1

Dip switch settings

  1. Check that the dip switches are set appropriately to indicate which FPGAs are mounted
  2. Put the JTAG jumpers in a position such that only the MCU is in the JTAG chain.
  3. Load the latest version of the CM_MCU binary (cm_mcu.bin) into the MCU. Get the binary at the release page. Also load the boot loader (bl_main.bin). See this wiki page for details on how to load the binaries: Recovering a locked TM4C
  4. Put the JTAG jumpers such that only the FPGAs are in the JTAG chain.
  5. Other dip switch settings?

Now the board can be powered on.

Checkout

The following items should be checked

  1. Check that the 12 V is in range and that the current draw is appropriate. Expected value: xx
  2. Turn on the power pwr on and check the value of the current draw. Expected value: xx
  3. Test with a DVM ever test point for the power supplies (INSERT LIST of SUPPLIES and image of silkscreen with the powers indicated.) Note that only power for the appropriate FPGA will be enabled.
  4. Check the output of the adc command against the DVM test.

EEPROM setup

The checkout procedure should include programming the ID prom information. The information to be included is the following.

  1. Enter the serial number. ADD COMMAND.
  2. Enter the board revision. ADD COMMAND.
  3. Enter the firefly configuration. ADD COMMAND.
  4. Reset the error buffer. ADD COMMAND.
