Hi there,
Minor, and slightly hacky fix - I noticed that updating the scan preview does not refresh the image. So, I used a trick as https://stackoverflow.com/questions/16526363/php-force-refresh-image to force this to happen. Seems ok, although could be tidier (I'm no php dev).
Thought I should contribute, however.
