Are you an event management team, weather researcher or planning a trip. Want to check weather visualization before taking decision? Then You are at the right place.

We are working on NEXRAD on AWS to achieve this project. The Next Generation Weather Radar (NEXRAD) system is a network of 160 high-resolution S-band Doppler weather radars jointly operated by the National Weather Service (NWS), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the U.S. Air Force. The NEXRAD system detects precipitation and wind, and its data can be processed to map precipitation patterns and movement.

Right now, we support weather visualization on the basis of following metrics:

  • Reflectivity: this indicates how strong the reflected RADAR signal was and how dense the atmosphere
  • Spectrum width: this indicates the set of particles grouped together form one pixel and shows how fast moisture particles are moving in atmosphere.
  • Radial Velocity: this indicates how fast radar scatterers are moving away from the Radar.
