This wiki records the recommendations of the Data Format Working Group, which is charged by the International X-ray Absorption Society and the Commission on XAFS of the IUCr to recommend standards for the representation of X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) data and for data from related measurements.
We are trying to share data across continents, decades, and analysis toolkits.
Our main areas of discussion are
- Textual data interchange format
- Data-Interchange: Discussion of data interchange issues
- Data-Interchange-Recommendations: Recommendations for data interchange
- Dictionary-of-Metadata: tag names, meanings, and values
- Hierarchical representations of hyperspectral data
- Relational representations of libraries of data
Additional areas of discussion include
- Recording and representation of raw data
- Raw-Data: Discussion of issues surrounding raw data
- Recording and representation of the analysis chain
Additional resources:
- Q2XAFS-Talks: Presentations from the Q2XAFS Meeting on these topics.
